Community involvement

I'm thrilled to see a community project I've been involved with for some time come to fruition in 2026! ... I took all the photos for the project.

Blackwood Tree Trail ... a 1.2km trail showcasing the trees in our local shopping precinct ... It has a map and various info about the trees so people can follow it around and really look at and understand the importance of trees.

Just a few snapshots of the booklet put together below ... should be readable if you zoom in.

It is now available from Tiwu Kumangka (Blackwood community centre and library) and there is signage on the trees.

New tri-fold brochure I designed for Friends of Belair National Park including
all my own photos. 2026

I was asked by a local Therapeutic Community Garden to take photos to use for their publicity.
February, 2025.

It was a lovely morning taking photos for the Therapeutic Community Garden for the Cancer Care Centre, at Cherington Gardens in Belair. I'm not usually a 'people' photographer but thought it was worth a try.

Posters designed to stop littering in the national park and also the local area.

Great response from the local community and from park rangers.

I was asked by a local community action group to photograph the bio-diversity and natural wealth of a small area ear-marked for non-essential roadworks. The resulting photo collage was used on flyers and promotional material. The community action was successful.

I was asked to provide images for a community-based alternative to stop the development of part of Belair National Park into soccer fields. Although this particular plan was not implemented the community backlash was instrumental in saving that area of the park from development.
